YEEEE~ FTISLAND is all grown up! The boys have been working out lately and gained some awesome muscles. *gasp* Muscles + guitars/drums/bass/mic *dies*

The Grown Up album shows a less playful side to FT Island and endorses their long lost beautiful rock ballad side we haven’t seen since their debut. More than anything this album reminded me of their first album hits ballads, mixed along with their new type of ballads. It is not at all boring! Not like a lot of groups that throw in a ballad song just for the sake of providing balance. It’s not blow up in your face kind of awesome, it’s like these 5 songs actually say something with a familiarity that greets you like coming back home..

Severely showcases Lee Hongki as the main actor again because he is an awesome actor! Haha, and a female lead from an up and coming girl group from FNC! What?? FNC with a dancing girl group debut? Ok more on that later. This Severely music video made me cry! It really did! Even though I’m not the type to like drama mvs where people die or get hurt, I just couldn’t help myself with this one because the song really touches you.

How did you react? Hmm yes the concept is played out but it refreshing to see this side from ma boys. Next MV I really hope Lee Jaejin, Song Seunghyun or Choi Minhwan become the lead character I want to see them acting too hehe. Choi Jonghun has already acted in “You’re My Pet” movie so I’m already good with that.

Speaking of which Jonghun wrote “We Hope To Be Lovers”. Yay! Finally they get to write their own Korean song, being already pros with their Japanese songs, I can’t wait for more productions from these super sweet rascals!

KBS Drama "Noriko Goes To Seoul!" (노리코 서울 에 가다!) - [English Sub]

Hey guys! So I know I don't usually stream movies online but I consider this a random post and I have no idea if it will show on KBS World or not lol.

I haven't been doing any of this lately so I thought I'd share with you guys the K-Drama/Short Film of KBS Noriko Goes To Seoul! (English Subbed of course) If you have no idea what story this is, I'll give you three words... LEE. HONG. GI!



Yup! This drama is a recent short drama at 90 minutes, Lee Hongki of FT Island acted in for Chuseok Holiday in Korea. Alongside him he has the beautiful veteran japanese actress Takashima Reiko. Its about a japanese ajumma who wants to learn how to sing from this boy (who is awesome at singing) so she can make her daughter proud. I have to say Takashima Reiko is hilarious in this short film!

This is more of a family film that I didn't expect it to be so funny. Although Hongki is playing a money-minded emo kid, he's a musically talented little fellow who plays guitar! Also songs of FT Island are featured, and the rest of the FTI boys are known as ISLAND an indie band in the show haha that was cute as well. Enjoy!

FT Island Like Birds MV & Memory in FT Island Album + Comeback Performance!

My boyss! I'm so sorry for not posting you earlier. For some reason FT Island loves to comeback when school starts haha but that's probably why I don't pay attention for the first months haha.

FT ISLAND is back with a remake album "Memory in FT Island." The song Like Birds is originally sung back in 1998 by senior singer Byeon Ji Seop. The entire album is suppose to be just a treat for fans, it consists of several songs sung from different time eras. Including an official recorded version of "Shinsadong Person" the song Lee Hongki sang and FT Island performed & won on Immortal Song 2!

I loove how the song is so fun, I love when they play around in that big jeep haha they are just too cute and amazingly talented all of them! Drummer baby Minhwan I'll come after you!

Here's my favorite performance of them in I think from Inkigayo. Its so cute how the entire crowd is singing along and FTI is just being so silly. Love the ad-libbing Hongki does.

So I originally planned for many individual posts about this but I saw it was better if I just put all of them together because there are so many k-pop idols bitten by the acting bug recently and so many brand new Japanese & Korean dramas for me to watch teehee!

What is up with stories with idols & ajummas lately? Oh well, ajummas deserve happiness as well. This drama is about a fanatic Japanese ajumma by the name of Noriko (Takashima Reiko) that visits Seoul to see her favourite Korean star. Mina (Lee Hongki) is a kid that will help her realize this dream. She dreams of becoming a singer, to show her daughter there are strength in dreams. By the way this is a chuseok drama special. I think Hongki will play guitar in here yall and also there are pics of him having a brawl in this movie!

Since its on KBS Malaysian viewers can probably see it soon on KBS World channel. I can’t wait for Hongki’s return to the small screen, he’s such an amazing actor he needs more credit in this.

I’m sorry but I’m particularly excited for the leader of FT Island Choi Jong Hun to finally make his acting debut in this movie!

FT Island Let It Go! PV & 5th Single

FT Island is hard at work in Japan! Seeing they've just finished up their korean comeback with "Hello Hello," and now on their 2011 ZEPP tour again. FTI is ready to release their 5th single from Warner Music Japan into the market this 27th July!

"Let It Go!" Will be their title track and the PV is already out! Sorta shocked when I found it, released end of June quite early right! But doesn't make my mouth anymore smaller as I gape to the hotness of these rocker guys.

HELLO HELLO! Okay screaming and shredding of hair starts now!! FT ISLAND has comeback to Korea with their full mv finally! The whole 3rd mini album "RETURN" is has already launched ha~ha~ha.

The music video is about a fire in New York city. I think everyone is gonna enjoy this one, such a difference! And they look better than ever. *drool* I fell in love with FTI again since now I can hear Hongki's raspy voice that I used to love so much.

Hongki goes back to dark colored hair (super cool), Leader Jonghun with better and awesomer guitar riffs, Seunghyun as adorable as ever, Minhwan who's super rockin sweet and of course...JAE-DRAGON!! haha just kidding but Jaejin's nickname with his past "Saranghooae" haircut like he has now is dubbed as Jae-dragon for similarities with GD. Ah they've improved so much~~

[UPDATE] K-Pop Acts Invading Malaysia 2010

Has everyone been feeling the K-POP love this year lately? 2010 is finally making Malaysian korean-pop worshipers' dreams come true. We're slowly garnering the interest of Korean artists to acknowledge Malaysia as a k-pop supporting country. No doubt we're enjoying the free-flow of idols as we have many fanclubs in support of these K-artists in Malaysia.

~Past Events~

March 2010 brought Super Junior who had a full fledged concert in Bukit Jalil, KL by Redstar & Marctensia.

June 2010 had U-Kiss Showcase (Geneses Dream), B2ST Showcase (Universal Music) & Brian Joo (Rhythmland).

July 2010 saw the Wonder Girls the first whole girl group to tread waters into Malaysia at the MTV World Stage on the 31st at Sunway Lagoon.

★ Universal Music, has hinted at a double-bill event combining BEAST and 4minute as cited in their FB Note.

★ Sony Music, has been scouting for alternative concert venues for a 2PM (six-member boyband) show since Putra Indoor Stadium, Bukit Jalil, is not available till next year.


★ Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) office, is also looking towards a mega year-end bash featuring multiple Korean acts to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Republic of Korea-Asean Dialogue Partnership, and boost cultural exchange between South Korea and Malaysia.


Hope this will get more Malaysians hyped up in their fanclubs to support these guys when they cross over! We'll try our best in welcoming everybody won't we! If you have any more information regarding any other K-Pop artists coming to Malaysia go ahead and comment here!

Again on the late train cause I've been so busy & not in the moods. Five Treasure Island released their precious Brand-New Days 2nd Major Japanese Single on July 14th! Summer time was what was used to describe this album, but I feel its just a lighter feeling of rock. In a good way of course!

Two PVs were released for this album instead of 1 like in their last Flower Rock single. One for Brand-New Days their feature song & Treasure, the heartfelt "for Primadonnas & our bond" song. Everyone's favorite seems to have gravitated to Treasure PV as all 5 members sing in this!

Five Treasure Island a.k.a FT Island, like yall don't know that already, has released Brand-New Days PV early! Just like what they did for Flower Rock PV in May.. Perhaps its the favoritism talking but they are my #1 Korean band!

Brand-New Days is the newest single set to fall from the heavens on July 14th. The boys have been promoting non-stop in Japan since early this year to August till they return back to Korea. This PV seriously caught me off guard! And I dunno if I was too psyched again or it was just the absolute brilliance these guys showed. What could you expect less from a song penned by our own Song Seunghyun! Their skills have improved tremendously with their instruments and Jaejin & Seunghyun's singing is ah...

Ah! This is WAY overdue, but it's only been almost 2 weeks since Flower Rock was released. Heehee. I'm quite shocked that security is pulling in SUPER tight on FTi's latest debut release as all the major japanese companies Warner Music Japan have removed every scrap of unauthorized screening of FT Island's Flower Rock PV on youtube, dailymotion and also their first performance on Music Japan! This includes Avex Entertainment, I know right, what's Avex doing here?? So brilliant me decided to upload the PV straight to here myself, enjoy..

Get the party started started started! I have non-stopped listen to this whole album and guess what? Unlike most songs I listen to over and over again, including sadly other FTI songs, I get sick of them, but NOT Flower Rock! There's only 3 tracks and frankly I fall in love deeper and deeper at the geniusness in the songs. Thanks to two particular geniuses of course.

Both Jaejin and Seunghyun co-wrote the tracks in the album! Jaejin sure knows which lyrics are best suited for him and Hongki. Whereas for Seunghyun thank you, thank you, thank you! For being there to put more english into the songs! The boys have enhanced their ability in their instruments monumentally and I just love how much support they've gotten in Japan reaching No.2, 3, 4, 5 in several charts beating famous japanese groups such as KAT-TUN. Not bad for a debut right? XP
