Yay for X-mas K-Pop songs! It never fails to put a smile to my face during the winter holidays. Boyfriend already sang a Christmas song "Pink Romance" along with company buddies Starship Planet with K.Will & SISTAR, but they have to make us happier with this single kekeke.. I really don't mind. Rookie Boyfriend hwaiting!
I'll Be There is an uptempo song and I completely am loving it with its new generation of non-cliche hook songs , its a great track to follow after my favorite repeat "Don't Touch My Girlfriend", now this is on my repeat! lol.

Youngmin got so much cooler with his new hair-do! He's a great actor in this such a sad face expression, you just wanna go and hug him! I love these twins but they're not the only ones as I also love main vocals Jeongmin he's such a cutie. Let me start off by saying that this is THE BEST MUSIC VIDEO OF U-KISS EVER!!! Perhaps even one of the best this entire year. From the daebak precision of the "TICK-TACK" choreography to the amazing full-on sound throttle, U-Kiss has defined how far they can go to exceed expectations!

I will just let you watch because despite being a japanese debut, its a MAJOR debut into the mainstream japan which explains the explosive concept & impeccable lyrics. Plus, everyone is fricking awesome. Soohyun & Hoon's vocal mash is just epic. as well as the most heart-pounding rapping from the brilliant three Eli, AJ & Dongho and in fast japanese! Main vocal Kevin is joined by Kiseop who's tremendously improved on his singing.

So?? XD I couldn't help hanging my mouth open when I first saw this. I really wish this was their Korean comeback song but oh well, its still really good.

The lyrics portray a guy (U-Kiss) who keeps lying to their girlfriend, keeping her clinging on a string, but he doesn't understand why she stays with him. As time goes on, he just keeps on lying because that's just who he is.

I tried to see what Tick Tack means, but all I could find was that it was Tick Tock in Swedish haha I don't think I'm looking at the right meaning lol. I dunno about you but AJ looks more and more like Song Seunghyun of FTI haha sorry but it makes me like him more! I love these boys to death!

Let's get to it! A unit group from Cube Entertainment has been circling the web like a house lit on fire, I needed a couple days to recuperate from this hot phenomenon.. but I don't think it worked. IU, Korea's little miss is back with a brand new 2nd album "Last Fantasy" to leave listeners lost in a fantastical-like dream.

IU has been gone for a year? But fans who loved "Good Day" can look forward to another great track written by the same producers for "You and I". The music video stars IU and Hyunwoo yes from Master of Study! Haven't seen this boy in a while I missed him.. he's so cute!

The story starts off in a Gipetto-like workshop, as Loen Ent. explains, IU works in her father's clock shop and made the boy, so that he was designed to wake up when the girl turns into an adult. Haha I wish my dad made me one of those..

너랑 나 (You and I) MV:

Panda says: This album is all about growing up (without having to do it provocatively). IU presents artistry in her petite form and it's good she's quite popular so people can listen to meaningful songs.

Some of the songs could really fit into the intro or end credits of a disney princess movie, not to insult. Songs like Last Fantasy and You and I are very heavy string instrumental wise, and I like them haha, I'm a sucker for a good musical.

A few other songs are IU's attempts at a R&B and jazz sound, like in 4AM. Sweet lullaby ballads are always great like Child Searching for A Star. I like Secret too, its a good, easy song to listen to. I haven't had a complete listening to this album, but I'm sure I will find some precious jewels that will keep me smiling happily as always in IU's albums =D.

The boys are back to their Japanese promos... again haha. I really am so so so worried about FT Island, if its not Japanese promos, they have to promote in Korea, and back & forth, back & forth, WHEN ARE YOU GUYS GOING TO REST?!

Anyways, their songs will keep soothing me, because FT Island will always have that je ne sais quoi that makes me love everything they do..

Charmingly set in a winter wonderland landscape, Distance shows a sweet, airy miss of a love that one feels when it snows. The rock ballad includes a brilliant arrangement & leader Choi Jonghun puts down his guitar to showcase his lovely pianist side. Brown Eyed Girls amaze with a follow-up comeback of a brilliant new ballad. Its a sweet serenade where you can feel the poignant expression of heart-break and having your friends to help pick you up from sadness.

Cleansing Cream is one of my songs on repeat, currently I have to play it at least once a day or else I'd go mad I cannot listen to this beautifully sung song. I HIGHLY recommend you take a listen to this song, artistically Narsha, Jea, Gain & Miryo have grown exponentially, they should definitely NOT go unappreciated!

There are many meanings to this song and several people have different point of views on this, but explanations I've found that I quite like are as such...

MV Literally: The little girl likes to pretend that she's blind, (covering her eyes) so she can use her senses to touch and feel instead of focusing on looks and sight. She lives with her sister and her husband. She likes them and likes to feel both of their presence, (smelling their clothes when they're gone) but the sister only caught the girl around her husband. The sister misunderstands and gets jealous, especially when the girl puts on "make-up" to be like her sister. Unfortunately the sister snapped and wants to wash away the little girl. Harsh..

MV in Depth: The girl represents the pure and innocent, she wants to focus on other things than how people are presented by looks. The sister sees the girl as her past self, how she wishes Cleansing Cream can return her to the way she was before, and doesn't have to keep her make-up to keep the one she loves.

Song Meaning: The song is actually about how when a person get heart-broken, you use make-up and everything to impress your loved one, how you spend time with your loved one. To erase all of these memories you really want Cleansing Cream. Sometimes its hard to erase your precious memories, you struggle with this cleansing cream to wash away your love & pain..

Hey guys! So I know I don't usually stream movies online but I consider this a random post and I have no idea if it will show on KBS World or not lol.

I haven't been doing any of this lately so I thought I'd share with you guys the K-Drama/Short Film of KBS Noriko Goes To Seoul! (English Subbed of course) If you have no idea what story this is, I'll give you three words... LEE. HONG. GI!

Yup! This drama is a recent short drama at 90 minutes, Lee Hongki of FT Island acted in for Chuseok Holiday in Korea. Alongside him he has the beautiful veteran japanese actress Takashima Reiko. Its about a japanese ajumma who wants to learn how to sing from this boy (who is awesome at singing) so she can make her daughter proud. I have to say Takashima Reiko is hilarious in this short film!

This is more of a family film that I didn't expect it to be so funny. Although Hongki is playing a money-minded emo kid, he's a musically talented little fellow who plays guitar! FT Island Like Birds MV & Memory in FT Island Album + Comeback Performance!

My boyss! I'm so sorry for not posting you earlier. For some reason FT Island loves to comeback when school starts haha but that's probably why I don't pay attention for the first months haha.

FT ISLAND is back with a remake album "Memory in FT Island." The song Like Birds is originally sung back in 1998 by senior singer Byeon Ji Seop. The entire album is suppose to be just a treat for fans, it consists of several songs sung from different time eras. Including an official recorded version of "Shinsadong Person" the song Lee Hongki sang and FT Island performed & won on Immortal Song 2!

I loove how the song is so fun, I love when they play around in that big jeep haha they are just too cute and amazingly talented all of them! Drummer baby Minhwan I'll come after you!

Here's my favorite performance of them in I think from Inkigayo. Its so cute how the entire crowd is singing along and FTI is just being so silly. Love the ad-libbing Hongki does.

Sung Si Kyung’s 7th Album – Even Now MV + Performance

Ballads ballads ballads, I give you the Prince of Ballads! I really want to call him the King but I guess he’s too young still to be King, but talk about having seven albums under your belt already, I praise thee. Sung Shi Kyung (성시경) is the best when melting down girls like me with his melodiously addicting voice.

The title track is (Even Now) 난 좋아 . The song is about two people who had a deep past relationship, thinking they would be each other's last, but it didn't end up that way. Oh! This MV made me want to cry, the song is so sweet I love it from the beginning to ending piano. Sung Si Kyung is also pretty hot in sunglasses haha I'm a sucker for cute crooked teeth and a lovely voice.

난 좋아 (Even Now) MV:

Plans never end up the way we think, apparently Sung Si Kyung thinks so too as, the other comback song Sung Shi Kyung performed 오 나의 여신님 (Oh My Goddess) is climbing higher in the music charts! I like both a lot but you guys decide the verdict.

Panda says: Ahh I’m in love with every track in the album! I recommend everything in this, one of the best ballad albums I’ve ever had the fortune to listen to. The guilty pleasures that bring me to my knees are First (great lullaby), It's a Song, You Blew Me Away, Solar System (oh soooo sweet), and The End (scarily silently amazing, one of those hauntingly beautiful songs sorta reminds me of IU's The Story I Didn't Know).

Of course I love upbeat track Oh My Goddess, the lyrics (if you ever go looking for it) is absolutely the cutest thing because it explains exactly about one that is falling in love especially during this sweet Autumn season.

Who can forget the bonus tracks? The duet song with IU I'm not too fond of, because I know the two can do better with a better track, even though it’s a pretty decent song, I want another one that projects a great mix of their vocal abilities.

And last but not least, the first time I fell in love with Mr. Sung Shi Kyung was with You Are My Spring, from watching SBS Secret Garden, thank goodness for OST!

Brown Eyed Girls - Sixth Sense Album + MVs

Brown Eyed Girls are back! From a long hiatus to an awaited comeback, Jea, Ga-In, Narsha and Miryo are ready to blow the music scene with their new latin/italian inspired sound.

Title song Sixth Sense is about how we should attain another type of sense other than the five senses to understand the songs of Brown Eyed Girls’ new album. Sixth Sense is really upbeat, with a sick marching beat, the only part that throws me off is the “pop” chorus part, I don't think its as catchy as it should.

Other than that, the girls are sexier than ever they look amazing! Miryo is awesome, Narsha is well Narsha, Jea is cool and Ga-in looks a little groggy, scary lol. Don't forget how Miryo’s raps are absolutely delectable.

Panda says: I really actually miss Brown Eyed Girls electronic house music pop instead of this new style, maybe they’re experimenting but the experiment didn’t let me grow my sixth senses just yet.

The songs I like the feel of Lovemotion and An Inconvenient Truth, because of its sort of Sunny Hill’s Pray beautiful song structure. I don’t mind Vendetta also because its catchy spurring again the rebellious nature of the girls' album. The song Sixth Sense I just love the bass beats, but its starting to repeat play in my head, owh good sign? lol.

So excited to have another Infinite (인피니트) music video out, these boys keep getting hotter and hotter! I’ve been a huge fan ever since I’ve put “Can You Smile” back from their Inspirit album on constant repeat, even till now. Paradise is another great title track to add to the collection! *fangirling*

The seven boys come out looking quite dissatisfied longing for their girl, oh girl problems. They sit and think into their memories, in a good-looking kind of way. I like the train setting its sorta cool. And I loove how Hoya is amazingly diverse, he’s great at singing and he’s one of the beasty rappers. I think the world is starting to see how Infinite is clearly unique because of their amazing vocals & dance, love their harmonized falsetto! Their potential is really.. Check this out!

Panda says: Paradise is another track from Infinite I enjoy, its like a cross between BTD (Before the Dawn) and Be Mine, real catchy. Even though it’s a short song, I’m amazed at their harmony in falsetto its daebak!!! Another new one I like is the orchestra version of Be Mine the boys have performed live before. In Cover Girl Seungyeol raps!

Let me tell you a story of two lovely voices who have the power to squeeze the life and beauty out of every song they sing! I say two thumbs straight up for Davichi and their new mini album! I love practically every track on Love Delight. No-limit voice Lee Haeri and Super-sweet serenade Kang Min Kyung deserve their praises and awards for their new effort.

Don’t Say Goodbye is the title track here, the MV owh wow well its quite simple but it sure gets you. The first part is creepy I mean how many people come across this? But he’s a jerk haha. Overall for this album all I can say is ah ballads are great..

Panda says: Despite Don’t Say Goodbye being the main song, however in my opinion, any of the 5 songs in this album could’ve easily garnered great success as the title song as well! My favorites are particularly, Don’t Look For Me Again because it reminds me of past track “Time, Please Stop” and also Happy End.

Don’t Say Goodbye and Love, My love is a good people pleaser but as much as I love Kang Min Kyung, her solo in Secret is good but doesn’t stand out as much as the rest. I hope you guys like this as much as I did, putting it on repeat every day.

I love collaborations! And I sure love a good song when it comes my way. This time round, Soyeon from T-ARA, Kim Jin Ho from SG Wannabe and singer Ok Joo Hyun sings together for Page One Digital Single.

What is up with stories with idols & ajummas lately? Oh well, ajummas deserve happiness as well. This drama is about a fanatic Japanese ajumma by the name of Noriko (Takashima Reiko) that visits Seoul to see her favourite Korean star. Mina (Lee Hongki) is a kid that will help her realize this dream. She dreams of becoming a singer, to show her daughter there are strength in dreams. By the way this is a chuseok drama special. I think Hongki will play guitar in here yall and also there are pics of him having a brawl in this movie!

Since its on KBS Malaysian viewers can probably see it soon on KBS World channel. I can’t wait for Hongki’s return to the small screen, he’s such an amazing actor he needs more credit in this.

Sweet Revenge - Rule Breaker MV + Tracklist

We are Rule Breaker!

A new rock band has emerged into the mainstream k-pop! Sweet Revenge (스윗리벤지) has been an indie band for 3 years in the town of Hongdae, they are made up of Kim So Young (singer & guitar), Kim Mijung (guitar), Lee Hwayeon (bass) and Jang Hyuna (drummer)!

I’m usually not too keen on newbies or girl groups haha I can be biased sometimes but, I recommend you this new sound! They’re not bad looking, but styling is important and I think they have a japanese-girl-rock-band flair. It’s the first girl group to play rock and play it well as I see it. I was waiting for FNC to come out with a girl band first but eh, its okay I like listening to Rule Breaker for the time being!

So.. what do you think? I like how all of them can ACTUALLY play their instruments, instead of playing the pretty face card or having stupid concepts, I like how the band is really talented in their field. True they are nicknamed “the SNSD of Hongdae” by the Korean masses but its only because of the front singer being similar in looks with Taeyeon of SNSD. They don’t need to be bashed okay! They are not asking for that nickname, but comparisons are how people recognize new artists easier.

Panda says: I like them, but the best track is Rule Breaker. But they are also receiving much attention for possible plagiarism just like their hit track, "Lupin" before. Netizens are claiming that the melody sounds too much like Joan Osborne's "One of Us".

KARA with colourful outfits! I like it! They look pretty and matured :) Gyuri is gorgeous! Hehe. The song and dancing is not too bad. The "lalalalala" part is so addictive! Ah! Haven't posted anything on the ferocious ladies of 2NE1 for a while. On the latest episode of 2NE1 TV Live: Worldwide, the girls take it up with their new single to sing acoustic! Acoustic meaning without, any electronic beats, sounds or autotunes, but I don't remember if there is autotune in the original UGLY.

Well the girls at first take the song very seriously but then goes for a fun outlook. I'm AMAZED at CL's vocal range! Incredibly impressed, I didn't know it was that good. Also Bom's voice is always beautiful, Dara is also a pretty good singer actually, her voice is so tiny & cute. I can tell Minzy looks up to Bom and CL on their powerful voices and the magnae even though she's younger than me can make my singing look like its not even worth the price of dirt lol. Enjoy!

Nine Muses - Figaro MV + Comeback Performances

What do you do think of when you first hear the word figaro? Well, I think of Mozart and Beethoven, all that random classical music but "Figaro" from Nine Muses is far from it. The girls are back this time as a 7-member sub-unit though because the two oldest members Rana & Bini have left the team to pursue individual stuff. The group will add new members after their promotions.

Nevertheless the group is carrying on with now the high-end retro concept and the song is like a completely retro song. Why is this the concept for most groups this year?? At first I did think they resembled Rainbow a bit, maybe because of the seven-ness and their tall-ness. But hey not many girl groups get to be called "model idols".

The world of K-Pop has been keeping an eye on a certain rookie rapper by the name of Bang Yong Guk! At first I didn't think his name would be memorable, but its quite easy to remember actually. This boy was a trainee under TS Entertainment, same as SECRET, and he featured in Song Ji Eun's "Going Crazy".

I really like this Bang Yong Guk's voice, its so rough but totally different from his lovable face. His rap used to remind me of how Eminem styles his raps but hehe lets not get too carried away. I Remember is a song about a guy who still remembers his past love even if she doesn't. It features B2ST's Yoseob and I think that was a very smart choice!

*Caution* a lot of blood and shooting in the MV but I don't think its anything you guys can't handle. I like the actor in the MV but haha I don't really think the lady suits him she looks sort of .. promiscuous? well I think she's suppose to be anyways =p.

Jay Park in "Mr. Idol" K-Movie [Trailer]

Okayy so the first thing I saw when I looked at this poster of "Mr. Idol" wasn't Jay Park haha. I think the lead actor has a rockin set of six-packs and he looks like Lee Joon. Anyways, Jay Park is set to star in a this korean movie to hit theaters this October 2011.

This movie seems very interesting, as its about a 4-member fictional boyband called "Mr. Children", with of course Mr. Jay Park in it. Jaebum will be playing the role of "Jio" a sometimes hot-headed dude but still loyal member of the group.

The cast includes actor Ji Hyun Woo at the front of the poster will be playing the lead vocalist "Yujin", Kim Soo Ro as the CEO and Park Ye Jin as their producer. I've been itching to watch a korean movie lately, finally I can get a chance!

Sunny Hill has finally released their 기도 (Pray) music video. They've been a great talent this year, with thought provoking lyrics and melodious beats. The story this time shows a mutant experiment caught my Misung and Jang Hyun of Sunny Hill, the rest are singing around though.

But *beware* this isn't the typical music video, if you're not good with graphical things then this mv is not for you. Heck MBC and KBS has banned it for humanitarian reasons or whatever rubbish they've come up with but I think its quite interesting. After School has split off into 2 majoring groups for their overall group promotion this summer. Decidedly a sexy & powerful After School Red and a more innocent, fresh & sweet After School Blue. AS Blue is made up of the youngins Raina, Lizzy, E-Young and also the cute Jooyeon.

2NE1 is out with a fresh new music video of their entree track "Hate You". The MV is constructed in animation directed by the talented artist Mari Kim. I really love her art its fabulously amazing, and I think it suits 2NE1 definitely.

The animation is super cool! The storyline is like an action-anime, where the girls chase after a wanted guy. I love the song a lot, even though at first the words were supposed to be "F*ck You." I think its just as awesome & PERFECT for this mv!

The new mini album will be released on the 28th July featuring "Ugly" as their title track. The MV is highly anticipated as well because I cannot wait!!

FT Island is hard at work in Japan! Seeing they've just finished up their korean comeback with "Hello Hello," and now on their 2011 ZEPP tour again. FTI is ready to release their 5th single from Warner Music Japan into the market this 27th July!

"Let It Go!" Will be their title track and the PV is already out! Sorta shocked when I found it, released end of June quite early right! But doesn't make my mouth anymore smaller as I gape to the hotness of these rocker guys.

The single is comprised of 3 songs, fully written & composed by FT Island themselves! "Let It Go!" is written by Lee Hong Gi & Choi Minhwan (drums), composed by Choi Jonghun (lead guitar).
